A few more days in the life of Lannea Jasmin
Lannea Goes to Washington
Coming soon will be photos from Lannea's big trip to "our nation's capitol". This was her first experience in a stroller... I'll tell you what, she's a doer, not a stroller... she much prefers to be up at our eye level seeing and doing what we're seeing and doing, but, alas, our little 20-pounder has gotten a bit too heavy to Bjorn around all day in a city where walking is inevitable. Nevertheless, she loved the anaconda at the zoo, the hotel's elevator with lots of mirrors, her first taste of pizza and especially coming back to our big fluffy hotel bed.

My First Mother's Day

Just wanted to say thanks for all your warm wishes on my first Mother's Day! We spent the day here in Tucker just enjoying each other's company which was just what I wanted to do. Seems we've been on the go so much lately, that I just wanted to be home and absorb my family. Joel made breakfast and a delicious 2-layer chocolate cake! Lannea took 2 loooong naps (a great gift to me for mother's day!), we watched movies, went to the pool, and enjoyed a beautiful Sunday. I am finding that babies help one to see the world as it truly is: full of amazing wonderful things, a place where each day brings a new experience. Babies make you appreciate the small stuff like the sound of splashing water, a new food you've never tasted, the texture of a cat. We forget about the stuff that life is made of as we race towards goals and achievements. With a baby, I am forced to slow down, to go at her pace and rediscover the world. We're Movin' to tha Highlands!
Yep, with our little family on the grow, we've decided we need a bit more space, and there' s no better time than now to make the move... the planets have aligned themselves in our favor and have presented us with the opportunity to move into the Virginia-Highlands area of Atlanta. We've always wanted to live in this part of town and we found a place that suits us great within walking distance of parks, coffee shops, pastry shops, great schools, and downtown Atlanta. We are hoping to move in in August and hope to have our townhouse sold by then... check out our townhouse for sale link for info and more pictures and feel free to spread the word to folks you think might be interested.
