Just wanted to say thanks for all your warm wishes on my first Mother's Day! We spent the day here in Tucker just enjoying each other's company which was just what I wanted to do. Seems we've been on the go so much lately, that I just wanted to be home and absorb my family. Joel made breakfast and a delicious 2-layer chocolate cake! Lannea took 2 loooong naps (a great gift to me for mother's day!), we watched movies, went to the pool, and enjoyed a beautiful Sunday. I am finding that babies help one to see the world as it truly is: full of amazing wonderful things, a place where each day brings a new experience. Babies make you appreciate the small stuff like the sound of splashing water, a new food you've never tasted, the texture of a cat. We forget about the stuff that life is made of as we race towards goals and achievements. With a baby, I am forced to slow down, to go at her pace and rediscover the world.
